Nothing can cheat you out of an experience or prevent you from sharing something inspiring. Since there are always miraculous things at work unseen. I know this to be true based on my own experiences, revelations and blessings.

While the media is hard at work detailing Beyonce's caption tribute to Kim Porter, the now deceased Mother of his children, there are more "Beautiful Things Than Beyonce" and her caption "Heaven Could not wait" No disrespect to Kim Porter; may she rest in peace. Still, my responsibility as a Blogger is to inform and entertain so sharing Morgan Parker's Book of poetry and how smart it is to use Beyonce's name in the title is something I could not let go unnoticed. An excerpt featured on the Book Page Website inspired me to share this post. Read below for an excerpt from a title in the book called Afro by Morgan Parker

I’m hiding secrets and weapons in there: buttermilk pancake cardboard, boxes of purple juice, a magic word our Auntie Angela spoke into her fist & released into hot black evening like gunpowder or a Kool, 40 yards of cheap wax prints, The Autobiography of Malcolm X, a Zulu folktale warning against hunters drunk on Polo shirts and Jägermeister, blueprints for building ergonomically perfect dancers & athletes, the chords to what would have been Michael’s next song, a mule stuffed with diamonds & gold, Miss Holiday’s vocal chords, the jokes Dave Chapelle’s been crafting off-the-grid, sex & brown liquor intended for distribution at Sunday Schools in white suburbs, or in other words exactly what a white glove might expect to find taped to my leg & swallowed down my gullet & locked in my trunk & fogging my dirty mind & glowing like treasure in my autopsy <br>Excerpted from the poetry collection There Are More Beautiful Things Than Beyoncé published by Tin House Books. © 2017 Morgan Parker.

The words read like a good gumbo in all the descriptive language, taking the mind to many places all at once. It's a rush and one you won't get from looking at the cover of the book. (Laughs) Search at your own risk. Morgan Parkers book of poetry was not as highly reported as you would expect a book with Beyonce's name on the front cover to be. I never saw the news of it's existence on many of the Hip Hop Websites I frequent. I would expect it to be there since there is often so much criticism and talk about Rap Lyrics not being poetry. Seeing it in the Entertainment Section would have certainly been a pleasant contrast to the OTRII news, Phoni Braxton or the infamous bite planted on Beyonce's face by a Celebrity who just so happened to be mentioned in Jay-Z's song called Lucifer.

Poetry is a great art form one celebrating language and expression often unspoken. Call it old news if you already knew about Morgan Parker's book of poetry. Abornewords Readers need to know about this book since so do Beyonce Fans, especially the ones who are in love with Jay-Z. This may at least feel like a win for those who are not blessed enough to be the main woman and Jay-Z's right hand. If no more than to elevate her fame, the books existence is also a win for Beyonce. All I know is, it made me think hard about the reason for their Son's Sir name and I wonder if there is more to his name and this book of poetry than what is obvious on the surface. Still wondering? Abornewords Beauty: My Experience With Vita Liberata Body Blur

While there are may products I have yet to share with Abornewords Readers, right now I am pleased to be buzzing about Vita Liberata Body Blur. I received a full size product in Latte Dark as a Poshly Prize. Love those opportunities! It came in the usual white package, sealed secure and everything. However, when I opened it, the tube felt like I had already shared it with my Sister. It was squeezable and did not seem full. Still I was eager to try it but realized pretty quickly, the applicator included with my Body Blur was to large to be useful on the tic tac toe scars on my legs and arms. First I thought Q-tip. Then I realized the wooden sticks I had laying around from the incense I burn in my room for aroma therapy would work for applying Body Blur to my tiny dotted scars. The mocha or maybe a darker shade would have been better for me because my spots become really dark once I heal because I pick them off a few times before I heal for good. Nervous habit but oh well. Applying Body Blur to every scar I have is something I will not do everyday because it adds at least another 30 minutes to my Beauty Routine. I have to work everyday and it would not be practical for me since my makeup routine is 5-15 minutes most days. I keep it very simple and that works for me. As long as my scars are not open, the spots are just something that happens after healing so what!. Then, I still have the option to smooth out my look by buying pantyhose. Now, I do appreciate being able to blur the dark spots. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to try this new product. Yet, I also feel blessed to be able to use my limbs everyday for exercise and other activities of daily living.

Being consistent is something that Leah Vernon does best. Working online requires consistency and it is easy to fall off as life happens. Let's face it sometimes we get busy, finances change and our ability to keep up with our agenda does not always happen like we plan. What I appreciate is, Leah's ability to drive her body positive message home in all that she does. Even when she has her bad days, she owns it and keeps pushing. Sometimes her candid statements are a bit much for me and I have to gasp. Still, I keep reading and if she is anything like me, she will not stop writing. Cindy Maynard, the Health and Medical Writer, may deliver her body positive message a little differently, but her message confirms what Leah Vernon is trying to express through imagery and Blogging. Here is an excerpt from and article written by Maynard on Healthyplace which really keeps on giving.

A healthy body image occurs when a person's feelings about his/her body is positive, confident and self caring. This image is necessary to care for the body, find outlets for self-expression, develop confidence in one's physical abilities and feel comfortable with who you are.

After reading that and seeing how happy Leah is in her Beauty Ad, I am convinced, a positive perspective about our changing bodies can help us to share and be a lot more understanding. We need less fat shaming and more beauty preening. That's all. Kudos..

Aretha Franklin: To Talk About The Dead and The Freeway Of Love Song To talk about the dead is not something I make habit of doing on Abornewords. However, losing Aretha Franklin has called me to the table for a Rest In Peace nod, like no other, all glamoured up in words. Some time ago, I attended a Mary Kay Event and before getting mini makeovers, attendees were warmed up to the sounds of Aretha Franklin singing Pink Cadillac. We enjoyed ourselves and did our two steps and a few other moves to the music and all was well in the world. We had a chance to learn about the Mary Kay Culture and about the reputation of some Consultants who had earned the honor of winning themselves a Pink Cadillac, as a result of their productivity in sales. It’s pretty cool how they connected their brand to that legendary song and Aretha Franklin. The music was a great segway into the Mary Kay Culture. While Aretha Franklin and her glamour girl persona will be missed, she left songs like Freeway Of Love with us so that we will never forget why she is known as The Queen Of Soul. Rest In Peace

Dry Lips Suck! That's why when I discovered the Hydrating Lip Gel Patches from Patchology, I knew I would make them a part of my regular #BeautyRoutine. Spalike quality is how I would describe them. Except, the added benefit is, you can do this yourself while relaxing in your bed, watching a movie. I did it while watching the movie entitled Big Miracle starring Drew Barrymore. Black Men and Black Women don't be fooled into believing sunscreen and self tanning products are unnecessary because of your skin tone. I use sunscreen and self tanners and both do wonders for my dull skin. Poshly contacted me via email with an opportunity to be awards prizes, as a participant on the Poshly Website. I jumped at the chance to try Vita Liberata advanced organics. Vita Liberata invisi is a foaming tanning water.

I used my bare hand to apply it to start so I could see if my finger were going to become orange in color like wen I use Hard Candy Glow All Day. To my surprise my fingers were not orange at all so then I applied the Vita Liberata Invisi Tanning Water using the applicator included as part of my shipment. The applicator was soft against my skin as I patted the tanning water onto one side of my face. You can watch me apply the video here. Caution to use only a dime or quarter size squeeze when applying product to the applicator. A little goes a long way with this tanning water since I am predicting it will last for quite a few applications. Immediately I noticed my skin had an instant glow and a refreshing feeling like I remember getting when I used my Clinique Moisture Surge Spray. My skin has responded well to this product and I am so pleased that the main ingredient is aloe barbadensis. I would still apply a concealer for the dark circles around my eyes and any other discolorations on my face. When it comes to interacting with clients there is no one way to achieve success since seeing everyone as an individual is always best, even when there are commonalities. Before you begin I will say it is just as much about what you do as it is about how you feel, meaning your attitude will likely set the tone for what will happen next and throughout your interaction, even if it is not interacting face to face so be mindful of how you are feeling before you begin to pitch or close the sale and seal the deal. Many people don’t know when or how to make compliments a natural part of the Customer Service or Engagement Process. Soon I will share a few things you can do before you let the compliments start to flow. These tips will help you to reach other people who can relate to your situation and experiences just like women are doing with Jes Baker, the LandWhale Author. After Leah Vernon shared the Author during one of her live Instagram Post, I went to check out the LandWhale The Book Website. Before I strolled down, I read the subtitle and took a deep breath. I could not help it y’all. This is an Author who told diets to kiss her tushie so I proceeded with caution! The Author of So You Want To Talk About Race said ...“Instead of calling to us from the finishline that seems impossibly far away, Jes shares a path to self love that she is still on with us”. After realizing how the words of Jes Baker had touched those women, I knew they had related to her experience in some way. Their words are compliments to who she is and what she has to offer her audience and the world so I decided to share some tips on how to make interactions more efficient so that closing the sale, or the deal for that matter, will be a whole lot easier. Your professionalism will shine through and you may even improve your negotiating game. Here are the tips.

Prepare ahead of time- You will likely remember the phrase, Dress for success so start with looking the part. When I worked at Disney, it was all about showing off my Disney Look. All aspects of my look had to live up to those standards all the way up to my name badge. That meant taking care of personal hygiene (obviously being clean) and wearing a clean uniform. Let’s not forget not being offensive by wearing too much perfume or body spray. Going overboard with the finishing touches can be wrong so caution if you like to finish with your favorite fragrance. The right clothes can be something that has elastic, includes spandex or even your favorite pair of Spanx. Maybe it is your lucky blue suede shoes, a rabbit’s foot, or some jewelry or something. Blazers and jackets are a great way to dress up any outfit and they add a professional looking touch. Whatever, you feel good in, you should start there. If there are scripts or scenarios, practice beforehand. Don’t have any? Reflect, thinking about times when you believe you could have handled a situation better by saying or doing something different. Use those reflections as a guide for future interactions with clients/prospects. Scripts provide guidance so always try to incorporate those into the conversation, even if you do not need to read them verbatim and follow the law. Use them to your advantage. In certain instances, you may be able to overcome objections by saying the right things. Remember, preparing ahead can included these tips and more. Remind yourself to do this by making it your mantra or just create your own. Prepare ahead of time.

Strike up conversation- Get the client/prospect talking. It will make your job a lot easier as you assess, serve and cater to needs. You will be able to eliminate some of the questions you have about likes, needs, wants and necessities. Remember, its all about the client. When you are not a firefly being the light that guides your client, you are still a silent valuable resource, wandering about until you are called upon. Never forget to think of yourself as a resource with something to offer. Don’t be short with the people you serve or standoffish but understand that being persistent is different from being pushy.
Identify commonalities- Consider what you have in common with this person or their lifestyle. Those commonalities will help guide the conversation and how you relate and engage during the interaction. Your actions will not seem strategic or robotic so you will show yourself as the real person you are. Your life experiences and stories are your real life so use them. Doing so will show that you are an individual with real feelings and real life experiences just like the people you serve. In this step it is safe to let the compliments flow.
Be open to advice- Clients may have a lot of advice for you. Remember, they have worked and lived too. Be open-minded even if you are weary of handing over control. Wendy Williams never gives control of her microphone to a guest or audience member. You will not lose control of how you interact, if you remember your goals and objectives. Whatever you want to achieve or whatever you want to happen can become a reality, if you keep your responses focused on your goals and objectives for the interaction, as you accept and thank your clients for their advice.
Highlight the benefits- Think about what having a product or using a service would mean for the client/ their family members. If the products or services you offer will make life easier, make task more efficient, or save them time and money, express those things to the client. Are you using Social Media to share product or service experiences? Tell your client, you just shared something about this using Facebook or Instagram. It will go a long way and likely keep the client engaged with the brand or service. Sharing is caring.
Handle products and documents with care- Proper handling will show how valuable your products are. Showing how much you care about every aspect of the Customer Interaction is important. Presentation is a huge part of the Customer Experience. Professionalism goes a long way. Hand out your business card and offer advice on/off the clock by including your email.
Take what you do to the next level- Connect with people who are doing what you are or those who share your interest. Go to networking events, conferences, and summits. Listening to and interacting with other professionals will only make you better at what you do.

Ever wondered about Nice Gunz Reason his song entitled She A Savage? Could he have been strategically speaking to Lady Dahlia and giving her props at the same time? Well Geedy P. is the brains behind the promotion strategy for most of what Social Media is being shared for New Orleans Rapper Nice Gunz so even though he has not spilled the beans, it must be okay to assume right? Street Dreamz Muzik just might be onto something. Remember this video from Lady Dahlia?

I'm always on some throwback music because like Rapper Jay-Z said once in an interview, music is timeless. Lady Dahlia has been doing so much to get her music and she often raps, shouts out or shares the tag line Musical Geniuses on her Instagram Page in videos and the music she makes. She just may be onto something too and I think Nice Gunz may be getting on board with the Raptress since he released a song called She A Savage on his last mixtape, Triggerz Got No Heart 2 and It's a pretty cool song. In the video, her brows are fully gorgeous, but they always kind of are. Besides creating her own lane and working hard to get music out to her fans, she is very particular about her brows. They are noticeable no matter how she wears her makeup. Her eyebrows are always looking pretty perfect.
