Kanye West: The Clothing Line Dedicated To Dear Mom

March 23, 2012

The facts seem unbelievable, but they are true.  He is a rapper who came into the industry after many of today's biggest Rap Stars, surpassed their accomplishments , and also rose to fame rather quickly. There are many who will credit his rise to his affiliation with Jay-Z and still others who will say that his beat making skills allowed him to advance in ways that lyrical skills alone couldn't, even on a 2-Pac Day. Both explanations seem logical enough to accept as vital contributors to his claim to fame. Looking at his skill as a rapper, and his knack for producing, there are so many other things that have played a role in defining who Mr. West is and how appealing he appears in the eyes of fans. One thing in particular is his passion for fashion. He loves beautiful, trendy, clothing. Louis Vuitton and Givenchy are a couple of brands that the Watch The Throne Rapper has been known to wear.

Kanye West expressed his passion and interest in design on the creative side. The effort is more than just a clothing line to Kanye West. After the first designs dropped, he released a statement telling everyone that he had invested lots of his own money into pursing what he called one of his dreams. It seems like he is all hands in on this one. The line is made more special because he marked it as a dedication to the late Dr. Donda West, his mother. It is that very sentiment that adds something extra to the Kanye West Clothing Line.

The talk and hype surrounding the clothes is sounding off in vibrations with high praises coming from some directions. The even reviews are really from those who are watching with anticipation. Here are a few of the looks worn by models during the Fall/Winter 2012 Runway Presentation of the Kanye West Clothing Line. These looks had heads turning and models exhausted from trying so hard. They wanted to get it right for Mr. West so that his show could surpass his expectations. I think they succeeded take a look!

The creative angle is evident and genius! The fashion direction seems to be in line with Kanye's latest musical release(s) My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Watch The Throne ( a dual effort created with his mentor and friend Jay-Z). Shawls/capes, the color black, chockers, and uniquely designed long boots add to the shadow of mystery that seems to loom over each design. There is something dark and revealing about each look. The designs connect to the idea of moving from one level of maturity to another. "It is like I'm a kitten but I am also a full grown cat" Youth, maturity, and some serious aggression. The Kanye West Clothing Line is designed to get your adrenaline pumping, just like My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Watch The Throne helped to carry over the wild out message (to fans) that represents the shared relationship expressed in the competitive spirit of the album. These clothes have an edge that is more wild than calm.  They are an extension of what Kanye West has to offer as an artist and creative individual.

Putting a look together for work is similar to the way clothing is chosen for any other occasion but with a little extra caution and attention. As always, there is some discretion and consideration to the over all environment. Today, I will show you one of my casual work styles to bring us down off our hoop love celebration so that we can see things a little more clear. Here I am standing upright hands at my side with a straight face and level head.

Dwight Howard: Staying Home

March 15, 2012

Ahhh......a real sigh of relief for all the loyal Superman fans who were left in limbo with thier thoughts thinking major destruction like krytonite's danger to the actual Superhero, when the news first broke that Howard could possibly be suiting up with another team. Thinking along those lines was something that many fans dreaded to even ponder and the idea of the deadline coming during the height of the Basketball Season, just salted the idea even more. Yuck, what a bad taste for fans. Ma...
